HUMINT Intelligence Researcher

Location: DC Metropolitan Area

Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

Provide operational support to Department of Defense HUMINT Operations.   Perform all-source intelligence research to identify potential overt HUMINT leads and produce lead tender documents for operations division consideration.  Provide Briefings to senior leaders.  Submit Name Trace and Deconfliction Requests, as required. Use research tools on all available domains, including JWICS, SIPRNet, and NIPRNet, to conduct classified and open source research. Provide briefings to senior leadership on accomplishments and project updates. Produce, edit, and quality control hard copy and electronic documents obtained via intelligence research. Provide responses to RFIs. Conduct briefings and edit products, as required.  Experienced with proven expertise taking project from concept to initial release and working as lead developer on a small team.

 

Education:

·         BS in Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Political Science, World/Regional History, or other History/Political/Science/Business/Computer Science/Intelligence or Law Enforcement topic.

  • Must have successful completion of at least six years in an all-source analytic, HUMINT collection, or HUMINT collection support role is acceptable in lieu of a college degree.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

·         Have a minimum of one year conducting or supporting overt HUMINT operations. Previous experience as an intelligence analyst or HUMINT targeting officer is highly desired.

  • Strong writing skills and being capable of effectively operating as a member of a Combined/Joint intelligence team required.
  • Possess the ability to: 1) effectively communicate verbally and possess excellent written communication skills, 2) clearly and concisely express multifaceted concepts, and 3) develop ideas in a logical sequence leading to a validated conclusion.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Windows Operating System, basic computer applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and intelligence-related automation. 

·         Have a basic knowledge of JWICS, SIPRNet and NIPRNet research tools. For example, some or all of the following: llR Citation & Evaluation database (ICE), Quantum Leap Intelligence Exchange (QLIX), NCTC Current, Think Analyze Connect (TAC), Record Message Traffic (RMT), CIA WIRe, lntelink, Library of National Intelligence (LNI), i-Space, q-Space, CRATE, Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Requirements-reporting Operations Management Environment (CHROME), CHROME Collection Operation Requirements Exploration (CORE) Discovery (CORE-D), Open Source Enterprise (OSE), APACS, HOTR.

·         Have a minimum of one year conducting or supporting overt HUMINT operations. Previous experience as an intelligence analyst or HUMINT targeting officer is highly desired.

·         Possess knowledge of overt HUMINT authorities and programs and understand the principles of intelligence oversight and the intelligence cycle.

·         Possess knowledge of DIA mission and organization, and an understanding of the National Intelligence Priority Framework, the DIA Strategic Intelligence Plan, and Combatant Command Operations Plans and Priority Intelligence Requirements.

  • Familiarity in the past three year with Federal Government business processes that encompasses various facets of non-medical case management and recovery care coordination
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
